About Coach Michael Rodriguez

Michael Rodriguez is a certified personal trainer and strength & conditioning coach with over a decade of experience working with youth and elite baseball players. He has served as the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for the Toronto Mets Baseball Club since 2018, helping athletes prepare for college and professional opportunities.

Over the years, he has trained more than 1,000 athletes, consistently helping players move on to college baseball in the United States across JUCO, NAIA, and NCAA programs.

58 athletes he has worked with have also been selected to participate in the Canadian Futures Showcase (Tournament 12).

His athletes have progressed to the Canadian Junior National Team and professional baseball—including Jonah Tong (New York Mets MLB), Mitch Bratt (Arizona Diamondbacks AAA), and Ryan Leitch (Philadelphia Phillies A+).

A key part of his approach is building strong relationships with athletes and creating an environment where they enjoy training while still being challenged. The goal is for athletes to want to be in the gym—not feel forced—while developing the discipline, confidence, and work ethic needed to succeed at the next level.
